Benefits of Massage Combined with Movement
Why add movement therapy into massage sessions? Wherever there is a “tight” or overworked muscle, there is usually a compensation pattern occurring in the body. If you release an overworked muscle, chances are it will just become overworked and hypertonic again because somewhere along the kinetic chain a muscle is not doing it’s part. By activating inhibited muscles after releasing the facilitated muscles, you are training the brain to make new movement patterns. This will provide a more long term benefit and pain relief.

What Clients Say
I met Heather a number of years ago when she helped me with my personal fitness and nutrition and was so happy to see that she earned her Massage Therapy License. I have been taking deep muscle massage for the past few months with Heather primarily focused on my lower extremities and am so excited to be pain free and more flexible. Heather is professional and caring when I am in a session and also involves me in the path we are traveling on. Being a Golf Instructor is very difficult on your body and Heather’s service gives me an edge to work to my ultimate level of performance. I’d recommend everyone take massage as part of a weekly routine for improved health!
